Great Kettle September 16, 2008 Drew Cheney (Sacramento, CA United States) -It's stainless, so keep it away from flying grease so you don't have to clean it as much. Our last SS kettle looked like something from the bottom of a deep-fryer. -Make sure that you don't place it on a burner that's too large for it, or you WILL have a handle that's too hot to hold. Other than those tips, there's not much else to say about this great kettle. I like that it's got a solid bottom (not a crimped or rolled edge). My wife and I use this all the time, and it wonderful.
Bizzare, inefficient design September 9, 2008 sunguardian (Los Angeles, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It boils water - that's about the only thing it does right 100%. Otherwise, the design is puzzling at best: grip handle is not completely encased in plastic and gets hot through the metal part - be mindful else you'd burn yourself. The little lid pops out with vengeance, too tight and requires too much force to open. The spout mechanism can mandate the use of both hands at times, because it's clumsy and inefficient. The trigger should have been built within the grip and actuated like a gun trigger, with one hand. Lastly, the grip handle cannot be folded to the side, like a proper kettle's handle should - perhaps to prevent injuries, however, it could have been designed with a built-in indexing spring so the folding action requires some force, rather than be absent completely. A simple design akin to Copco Zingo's, if properly implemented with stronger materials and better craftsmanship, would blow this kettle right out of the water. Look around for better deals.
A+ For Design! September 9, 2008 Hip Power Mommy (Nashville, TN) I spent two or three nights online, picking out the perfect kettle. I wanted it to fit my modern/farmhouse sensibility. A tall order. Well, it just got here and I am trying it out now and all I can say is it's really pretty, sturdy, and looks better than the extremely expensive ones I've been thinking of from kitchen stores. Very pleased.
BEST KETTLE I HAVE FOUND September 8, 2008 Sam M. Hodges (AZ USA) I have had many kettles, but this one is the loudest and longest lasting. I use it several times a day. It always awakens me if I fall asleep while it is heating.
orange teapot September 5, 2008 orangegirl (MA) I truly love my orange teapot. I have looked high and low for an orange teapot but I really was ready to give up until I found it on Amazon.
