Love it! September 19, 2008 Lissa (North Carolina) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I've had this since Christmas 2007. I got this to replace my ancient LaMchine food processor, and couldn't be happier. This is real quality - not to mention heavy! It works like a charm and is amazingly quiet. I love that the accessories come in a storage case - much easier to deal with than having to find room in a drawer for all the loose pieces. The case has slots for each accessory so the edges stay sharp. One thing I love is the piece in the food chute with the hole in the bottom. This is excellent for adding liquids while you're processing. I used it when making pesto to add olive oil while the machine was running. It adds the oil in a nice, continuous stream, rather than dumping it in all at once. I know there are a million other uses for it that I haven't tried, but I'll explore those before long, too! All in all, I highly recommend!
The right tool for serious home chef September 17, 2008 K. Yu (San Jose, CA) ATK recommends it highly, so I bought it. They are right. This is definitely a must-have tool for any serious home chef who want to elevate his/her cooking to a higher level. At a minimum, it will make your cooking tasks so much easier.
Excellent Food Processor September 13, 2008 Reno (Charleston, SC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
An excellent food processor. No complaints what so ever. My wife has made several different kinds of dishes with this appliance and all have turned out great. Her Pico de Gallo rocks!
Excellent value for the money September 5, 2008 K. Duhamel (Arkansas) This processor is a work horse. Well designed, easy to clean and quite sturdy - well balanced for large recipes. Having two different sized work bowls is wonderful! Convenient case to store attachments and blades. Love this machine and highly recommend it to those looking for a large food processor.
Kitchenaid self-mutilating food processor August 17, 2008 Rebecca D. Brown (Elgin, IL) This machine is the best one I could find and that is a sad thing. When the slicing blade is in use, the container does not fill evenly. The softest vegetables pile up in one spot when it is half full pushing the blade up which begins shaving plastic off the cover into your produce. I have about 10 jars of organic red sauce with plastic shavings that I could not detect until after canning. Also, the blade clogs easily and then the machine begins to roar and rumble and jump off the counter. When slicing several onions, be prepared to open and remove clog at least once per onion. What do the rich and famous do for a food processor these days? Surely not this. Not with a bang but with a whimper do things become obsolete before we bring them home.
