I love my countertop oven! September 9, 2008 Momof 3 (Michigan) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've had my KitchenAid countertop oven for a little over year now, and I love it! It's great for so many things. My kids use it to reheat pizza, or make pizza rolls, and as it automatically shuts off after 30 minutes, I no longer have to worry about them not turning off the oven, which had happened once too often. I like how you can reheat pizza, and it doesn't get soggy, like in the microwave. The finish on mine is perfect, and I like that the crumb tray can be tossed in the dishwasher. And of course, it's my favorite color-red! I like the versatility, too-bake, broil, toast and warm. You can broil fish quickly without heating up a large oven. I also used it during the holidays, for making hors d'oeuvres. It has a very substantial look and feel, too. It's not a flimsy product, like the toaster oven I had for many years. I am very happy with it and use it often. I am also considering one for a gift for my daughter who is away at college, as she loved using it when she was home for the summer.
This is a pretty terrible toaster September 5, 2008 A. Evans Ditto all the other bad reviews. I put this on my Crate & Barrel wedding registry because it was the more expensive of the two they carried at the time. Why on earth is Crate & Barrel still selling this thing? It toasts totally unevenly -- I am writing this as I eat yet another piece of toast that is crispy on the top and soggy on the bottom. The first thing you toast takes forever, and then if you put something else in after it's already hot, it burns in three seconds. Terrible!
Beautiful and Intuitive August 19, 2008 Dawn Schmokel I have had several new toaster ovens in the recent past (I have been looking for just the right one) and this will be the last one. It is a keeper. It is beautiful, and the knobs are intuitive to use--not crazy electronic knobs that you have to read the manual to figure out what they mean. It is high quality, and works well. It is a little large compared to other toaster ovens (may take up too much space on the counter in some kitchens) but I love it!
Good Little Oven August 19, 2008 Kenneth L. Smith (Cincinnati, OH) It bakes, it broils, it toasts. It's just like a miniature copy of a range oven. It preheats quickly and cooks evenly. The only thing I can fault is the limit of 30 minutes on the shut-off timer. An hour would be a better time limit.
Stopped working 2 weeks after the 1 year warranty expired August 16, 2008 D. Lee Plus, it takes a long 7 minutes to toast, and you have to watch it carefully so that it doesn't burn. Overall, a poor buy - move on to the next choice.
