Adjustable Strap September 7, 2008 D. Brown (Connecticut) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The adjustable strap is awkward and difficult to adjust properly. It is also uncomfortable. I would have preferred the regular strap on the back.
I don't even have a car and I wear these all year long August 28, 2008 Kid Prometheus (Bonesville Oklahomers, we hate culture and love ugly fat girls who have no brain or fem qualities.) when I was in a car crash, my court opponent's insurence people said, "well, learn to like mud." I love mud! Because my feet never touch it when I walk to work, walk to the grocery story(from a feild about two miles down the highway) The soles are roughly mountain boot quality without the confinement of a prison in the summer, the cold misty muck of fall weather that gets in the un-mowed grass and mud on the construction site and the feild between my duplex home and the town proper in the spring/fall/winter seasons is minimal at most (even with cotton socks.) If you don't have a Honda, get a Hummer(for your feet). I actually walked home from my parents(in a huff) over christmas snow with in reason, it can be done(light snow and a side walk/roadside), though not deap slush! Thier are no front vents becasue it's off road clogging in nasty muck, and oil slicks in the feild these clogs(as they are called) can handle it! For ventalated front ends, get the other Croc Crayman or Beach and wear those around the house.
crocs August 9, 2008 George A. Schlanert (melrose, montana United States) I find crocs very comfortable. The only disadvantage I have found is they allow weed seeds to get in my socks in open fields.
can't do with out crocs now August 9, 2008 Alta Denton (Oregon USA) I work on my feet and have had back trouble and sore feet for many many years. Tried Crocs and found they are great but wear out pretty fast I got these off-road ones and have loved them and so far seem to last longer then the regular ones.. Wonderful product....
Velcro strap... August 7, 2008 T. Parsons (Pinole, CA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I went to REI to try on a bunch of different crocs styles. I would recommend people do this because they all fit a little different, especially if you're a size 13 like me. I found that "Beach" were way too loose and tended to fall off. "Endeavour" has more "exact" sizes? The 13 was too loose and the 12 crammed my toe on the front end. I was going to give up, but with the velcro straps on the "off-road", I was able to buy a 13 and set the strap at a comfortable, slightly tighter position. I've owned these off-roads for three months now. I use them strictly around the house, since I think they're a fashion train-wreck and would never wear them in public. I mean look, no one is going to mistake these for army boots. But by trying to look like army boots, they make me look like a pathetic poser...an overweight thirties dad in Docker cargo pants and army-green foam shoes. But! they're so darn comfortable...they fill a practical niche in my footwear collection. The closed-toe is great for hosing off the deck or taking out the diaper pail, and I dock the velcro strap when indoors. More complaints: the tread, supposedly so much beefier, is already worn down to be a little slick. The velcro strap often binds between the shoe and the black fastener when you're trying to move it forward. I wouldn't say I've been hard on them, so I really expected them to hold up better.
