Good product September 16, 2008 P. Dobos (Stratford, CT USA) I had researched other products for much more $$$. I found that this product is quite good for what is was designed for. If you are half way mechanically inclined, you should have no trouble at all. The instructions are easily understood and written for the backyard mechanic.
Great product August 29, 2008 H. Gregory Hubert Easy to setup (as long as you have a ladder). It effectively clears the floor of my garage so that I can still park my cars and move around in the garage. I plan on using more when I get more bikes that need to be put in a secure place.
Great inexpensive Bike Storage Mount August 24, 2008 J. Jarossy Great price, fast delivery, easy to install. I order 3 of these and mounted all 3 bike right next to each other. But, I did take the advice of several previous purchasers reviews and replace the cord on all 3 right away. Paid $8 for 100' cord at Lowes. Looks like rock climbers cord. Used it all since we have 11' ceilings in our garage.
Great and the price is right. June 22, 2008 Cptn_Bill (Cary, NC USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
1/2 the cost of another model - but totally functional. I do wish the two flat "hooks" on each side looked like this "L". Instead they are more like an Arial "L"s (without the hook). That means you need to get them mounted directly above where they hook and be more careful about moving the bike as you hoist it. The anti-drop rope stops work well enough to be the sole clamp when hoisted. I tie off the rope to the provided cleats but without tension. I have a wheelbarrow hanging from one of them.
good value June 11, 2008 Chuong Van Pham (Folsom, CA United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
this bicycle hoist works well. I used the center holes for the screw to screw to the joist. Though I don't think those holes were intended for the screw. I don't think screwing into the sheetrock is adequate
