This made canning apple pie filling a snap with my smallish sized apples. Don't know how well it would do with large apples, but using it I made 12 quarts of pie filling in just over an hour! It doesn't quite remove the peel all the way at both ends, and if the apple is mis-shapen at all it misses spots, but hey, I'm not that picky for pie filling. Definitely a must buy if you have apple trees.

Like the product a lot, but a couple of things would make it a little better. Wish the peeler unit was more adjustable {get it closer of farther away from the bar that holds the item beeing peeled}
Another thing, wish I could take the peeler unit from the base for a little easier cleaning

Seriously, this is the best kitchen gadget ever! I used it to peel,slice, and core over 40 pounds of apples for apple butter and it made the job easy and fun!!! It is sturdy and the suction cup sticks great!
