This product is extremely worthwhile for anyone wanting to store their beaters in the bowl. The only semi-odd thing is that these are sold in pairs (guess I'll have to add another bowl when the amazon price is right). It keeps the inside of the bowl clean, it gives you a place to store the beaters, and it keeps the cats from trying to reach into the bowl and play with the beaters. What more could you ask of it? This is probably one of the best and easiest to justify additions for anyone with a kitchenaid stand mixer with the proper size bowl (especially when they have it on sale).

Useful, I do feel better knowing the dust is not settling into my mixer bowl and accessories while not in use. I also like it when I don't use all the mix and can throw it into the fridge.

As someone who likes to keep their stand mixer on the counter, these lids are great at keeping the mixer bowl clean so that it does not need to be washed before being used. A great product from KitchenAid.

These covers are GREAT! It makes it sooooo much easier for me now to not have to transfer my batter into another container. I can just snap the lid on and pop it into the ice box until I'm ready to use it.

When I ordered these, I thought they were open in the middle - missed the part that it was a "cover". Since my wife was having a problem with mixer splashing out I had hoped this would stop that while allowing her to still add ingredients. I ended up using a sharp knife and cutting a hole in the middle circle of one of the units and she loves how it works. She has the second one to use as a cover when she needs to. Although I killed two birds with one stone, it takes a little nerve to cut into a brand new lid - but in the end it worked out perfectly.
