5 out of 5 stars Works great.   July 5, 2008

It is not difficult to figure out the operation of this convection oven. I've cooked, pizza, toast, baked potato, roasted veggies, casseroles. Great for a single person who lives in a rooming house.

4 out of 5 stars Great appliance   June 28, 2008
Baltimore Buyer
I really like this toaster oven, an opinion reflected in the fact that after buying one for youngest daughter's college apartment, I bought another for myself when our old Black & Decker one died, and recently acquired a third for my older daughter who just graduated from college. It does everything we expect, and does it well. I don't do any real baking from scratch in it, which is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5, since I have no experience with whether the preset temperatures are an issue. When I've used the baking settings for reheating or cooking things, it hasn't been a problem. If you read prepackaged items that need "cooking", though, they frequently list a lower suggested temperature for toaster ovens vs regular ovens. This leads me to believe that most items don't need to cook at an exact temperature, nor that any brand of toaster oven can sustain that exact setting steadily. I've had no problem choosing the closest lower setting, and keeping an eye on how it progresses.

5 out of 5 stars Quite pleased   June 24, 2008

I always review consumer reports before buying appliances and this was highly rated. It is indeed a good product and I have been quite pleased with its performance. The controls are very easy to use for both the toaster and the oven. One word of caution: the top gets very hot and one should be careful not to keep any inflammable items on it. The removable pan underneath is very easy to clean, as also the stainless steel housing.

5 out of 5 stars Sanyo Mini-Oven   June 24, 2008

My new Sanyo Toaster/Convection Oven is fabulous. I have a kitchenette, and this is my oven. My frozen chicken pot pie baked perfectly, and I'm going to try baking a cake soon. It is also a great toaster. I was worried about how hot the stainless steel got on the outside but I'm please to say that it's not too bad and cools off quickly. It was helpful for me to research on-line on how convection ovens work which helped me select my baking pans. This is a great appliance at a reasonable price.

5 out of 5 stars Worthy of its reputation   June 21, 2008

I bought this sight-unseen because it was rated a "Best Buy" by 'a leading consumer magazine' (whose initials are CR).

I was not disappointed. It's dead-simple to use and does a terrific job on everything from toast to reheating pizza.

After years of putting up with inferior toaster ovens (out of habit), finding one that works this well is a refreshing change.
