This oven is great except for one thing. Owners manual states "convection cooking reduces cooking times" but gives absolutely no guidelines as to how much, leaving the user to guess or burn up the kitchen. I contacted Krups by Email with no luck and finally sent them a snail mail letter which they promptly answered stating that one should reduce ALL convection cooking times by 1/2. It would have been easy to insert that simple sentence in their manual at time of printing. Other than that the product is great.

My wife and thought that we were buying a quality toaster oven, but after owning it for 4 months the whole top burner assembly will not work. Now we need to hassle shipping at our cost to their authorized shop and do without for who knows how long. Is this the Krups idea for quality??

After purchasing a Kitchen Aid toaster oven that was awful at toasting and then broke in less than 60 days, I researched this thoroughly. It is more money than I intended to spend but well worth it. It toasts bagels and bread perfectly! Consistent, fast, and simple to replicate with the next piece. Just remember the number you set it at the last time. So far I have only used the baking for cookies and it baked up just as well as the big oven, and did not heat up my Florida kitchen! I like the looks of it, the crumb tray is easily removed for cleaning, the shelves are very easy to pull out (unlike other models), and it is very fast. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Two seperate copies of this Krup stopped toasting and the digatal functions failed within 4 weeks! No damn good if it doesn't work.

We wanted an appliance that could be used for baking meals as well as toasting bread and bagels. I have found that the baking part works very well and the convection oven makes short work of cooking fish. However, it does not do a good job on toast. The bottom side toasts up fine but the top often does not brown up. The top heater coils do not seem to get hot enough when making toast although they work fine for broiling. I wish there was a 'top brown' choice on this as there was on my former toaster oven so that I could toast up bagels. We are now thinking of purchasing a separate toaster although I really do not want an additional appliance on the counter which is why we choose this one in the first place. BTW, it really only does 4 full sized slices of bread, not 6, but that is a quibble since the size is adequate for our partially toasted bread needs.
