3 out of 5 stars Works as advertised, but....   June 2, 2008
Ken W. (Lawrenceville, GA USA)
The toaster is great. Works fast and just like a regular toaster. But...the oven is very small and some things tend to burn on top before they are cooked -- like frozen biscuits. I recommend turning the temp down at least 25 below what the recipe says.

1 out of 5 stars Neither a good toaster nor a good oven   June 1, 2008

This multi-function device does none of it's tasks well. Toasting is extremely uneven and when used as an oven, it just burns the top of anything thicker than a piece of toast.

3 out of 5 stars Generally good, but one major problem   May 31, 2008

The problem I find with this toaster oven is that bread does not settle in the allotted slot unless I very carefully place it. I have had the unfortunate experience of, when the lever pops up, the toast sort of folds over and gets stuck in the machine because it wasn't resting in the slot perfectly. I don't know about you, but in the morning before I am properly caffeinated, my ability to use fine motor skills with my toast is out of my reach. Given the other good reviews, I'm wondering whether I have a poorly aligned version -- but this has been a considerably annoying flaw. (Hence, I am currently on Amazon looking for a new toaster!)

2 out of 5 stars Slice element broken within three months   May 26, 2008

This was very promising toaster and I loved how compact and retro looking it was but after three months the elements for heating the slice portion of the toaster stopped working which also means no heat from the top for items placed in the food belly. I still use it to warm toast but I have to physically flip it (as long as I remember to flip it) before the bottom elements burn it. I'd advise against this toaster.

1 out of 5 stars complete waste of money   May 24, 2008
DLS (Yukon, OK)
This toaster oven is a waste of money. It toasts everything very uneven with half of the toast black and the other half not toasted. Plus if you put something like a pop tart in there it tends to fall off of the toaster stand and get stuck behind everything and you have to turn the whole oven upside down to get it out. Using the oven part is almost as bad. The temperature is uneven so some things with burn while others aren't cooked through. Also, if you have had previous toaster ovens forget about using other brands' trays in this one. Plus, this toaster oven is impossible to clean. It's back to Black & Decker for me.
