returned after one day January 3, 2007 Calico Hat (Round Rock, Texas) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This toaster looked nice and I thought Oster made quality products so I bought this inexpensixe toaster. It worked poorly from the first attempt to toast. Only one side of the bread would toast and the toast wouldn't pop all the way up so I returned it the next day. I received an Everstar toaster as a Christmas gift and I'm very happy with it. It has wide slots, toasts beautifully and pops up with no problem. I didn't see this toaster on Amazon but I found it on a Web search at Home Depot for $19.99
Junk, junk, junk. October 27, 2006 Don from Ohio (Ohio) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm writing this review just before I begin my search for ANOTHER new toaster. I just purchased this junk Oster model 3 months ago and it has broken already. The "lifter" in one of the slots is broken so every time I toast bread, I must unplug the unit and dig one slice out of the slot. I suspected it wouldn't last long. From day one, it didn't have enough power to lift a bagel up after toasting (had to lift it using the handle). I'm leaning toward the Cuisinart model. It seems to be getting good reviews.
Piece 'o junk October 16, 2006 AHWB (Atlanta, GA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this toaster, I'm sad to admit, based solely upon it's good looks. And as with most things in life, that's about the poorest reason to choose anything. While this toaster looked fabulous on my counter for nearly 10 months, one day it just stopped working for absolutely no reason. It just said, "I'm done with this 'work' thing. Goodbye." And then it proceeded to "give up the toast" (please pardon the pun). It only had ten months of reasonably well-toasted toast it it's little heat coils and then it became just a good looking kitchen prop. I will not be purchasing another one.
