Toaster - Exceptional May 30, 2008 Susan E. Burdick (Connecticut) This toaster is great..it has a warming button for when you just want something you have toasted warmed again. It does a great job on bagels, english muffins and toast. Cleaning is easy!!
Good toaster but has some flaws May 25, 2008 Dave (Portland) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you are looking for something that will toast four slices of bread and you aren't too picky you'll be happy with this toaster. If you are looking for the perfect piece of toast then this isn't for you. The good: Seems solid and well built It has a reasonble range from light to dark Can toast with two settings at once Does well with odd toast sizes Easy to clean The bad: While better than most the toasting is not even: the top cooks more than the bottom If you use both sides the addtional load reduces the heat on both sides. So the "4" setting that toasted so well now comes out more like it was on "3". I'm leaning toward returning mine after a week of use.
Looks great - Needs better quality control May 22, 2008 W. Mumpower (Atlanta, GA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We received the first toaster, tried it out and everything looked great. Next morning the left two slots would not come on at all. Amazon was great, shipping another toaster out immediately. Second toaster works okay makes consistent toast, but on the left slots, we have to adjust the control to between 8 and 9 to get the same degree of browning as we do at 5 on the right two slots. For a toaster this expensive, it is disappointing. I would not purchase again.
Not impressed. May 10, 2008 D. Kelley (Issaquah, WA USA) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I wasn't impressed by this toaster in any way. Although the slots are wide they are not long and I needed to cut the ends off my rye bread to get it into the slots. Nevertheless, I still expected a nicely toasted piece of bread. Under the shiny stainless steel lies a rather mundane mechanism for toasting. The knobs came preset to "5" and since my wife likes her toast pale and I like mine quite dark, I set her side to "4" and mine to "6." Her toast came out basically raw while mine was almost burnt (at least on the left side--the right side was okay). What the other numbers do, I have no idea! But here's the strange thing: both of our slices were fairly cold right out of the toaster. They didn't even melt the room-temperature butter! Although I didn't try the bagel toasting gadget or the warmer function, even if they worked flawlessly I would have to say this toaster is substandard. I intend to return it next week.

Excellent product with dual controls so that two pieces can be toasted to a specific way for one person and the two other set to toast for another person. Beautiful design. Excellent product. Rated #1 in Consumer Reports.KitchenAid Pro Line 4-Slice Toaster, Pearl Metallic
