5 out of 5 stars Nice Cooker   May 18, 2008

Well it works great for the things we have tried. I have cooked fish sticks, ham, and pizza so far. It works great and is real easy to clean. It cooks faster and better then big turkey roasters. For most things this works far better then a big oven. It is fun to watch the food cooks. Very easy to clean and keep clean. If someone can't successfully cook with this cooker they must really be stupid. Years ago I had a similar type cooker. It worked nice and this seems even nicer. I am very happy with my purchase. It fits nicely on the counter in the corner. I just pull it out a bit when I want to use it. I always line the big flat metal tray on the bottom with foil. I don't change out the foil every time. It can be used three or more times. If I didn't line this bottom drip tray it would require scrubbing each time but this keeps things easy. The most I have had to do was scrub the rack but it was easy to do. The clear plastic container rarely gets dirty at all even when I have cooked hams. The way the air circulates the clear plastic seldom gets any splatters on it. This is very easy to keep clean. So don't worry about that. It was an expensive kitchen appliance for me to buy but in time it will be worth what it would have cost me to bake in my big oven. I haven't used my big oven since I got this. Just remember to be careful when you lift up the plastic lid when hot air or steam comes out if you don't have hot pads it will burn your wrists. Always tip the edge up on the other side of you a bit to let the hot air out then lift it out and you will never get hot air burn on wrists and use your pot holders. This isn't necessary if you let it sit a few minute after it quits cooking but if you are checking before things might be done and you don't give it time to cool down then tip it like I explained to let the heat escape away from you and your hands. It's no different then being careful when you lift a lid off any pan while you are cooking. There is nothing dangerous or hard about using this appliance. For what it does it was designed pretty good in all ways. Now if it lasts for years I won't ever need my big oven again and it will be well worth what it cost. Buying it on Amazon was the cheapest way I could buy it and I trust buying through Amazon. They have always been good to me even when I needed to return things. Years ago I bought a push lawn mower through Amazon. It didn't cut the FL grass I had when I lived there. I got a return label through Amazon online that I printed off and put the box for the mower and all I had to do was sit it out on the street by my mailbox. USPS picked it up for free and Amazon or the company it was from credited it back on my credit card. Thanks to the reviews people put on Amazon it really helps me decide if I should purchase something, like this Nuwave oven. Amazon is one of the safest easiest ways for me to buy online. I got the free shipping on this Nuwave through Amazon. That is what made this the cheapest and safest way to buy this Nuwave oven.

I am ecstatic to have an oven in my home that doesn't heat up the whole house. Summer is coming on, and who wants extra heat. Things I love about it: can cook frozen food, relatively quick, browns tops well, convenient.
Things I don't like: cooking chart isn't very accurate. Easy to overcook things. Time listed for cooking meat especially could be adjusted. I have to add 2-5 minutes per side especially for frozen. If you add one or two minutes too long, it dries out the meat too much. I did cook a ham in it, and it turned out very well. The turkey breast I cooked was very dry, but I probably added too much time.

Overall I like the thing a lot. I recommend them especially for couples and small families. You can throw something in, even if you forgot to thaw it out.

My husband is on dialysis with a very restrictive diet. I am trying to recover from extensive (3rd time) back surgery and can't stand for very long. Cooking is very difficult, but NuWave Oven is a Godsend. I am doing almost all my cooking in it because it is so easy, requires little attending time and the food is very well cooked and tasty.

4 out of 5 stars Great oven but plastic dome exploded after only 5 months   March 29, 2008

We got it in October 07. Everything worked as advertised, and we were very pleased with it and recommending it to friends.
We used it about 1-3 times a week until one night in February 08 for no reason the plastic dome exploded and cracked into about 6 pieces.
It claims a 1 year warranty, and we have just emailed the manufacturer to see if they will stand behind their product,
Hopefully they will do the right thing, and if they do, we will continue to be a very satisfied customer.
We will update this review to let everyone know what happens

Get one...you will not be disappointed. If you want juicy and succulent chicken that is better than store bought or those produced by certain restuarants that I will not name or for moist and juicy salmon then the NuWave is the answer. You want fries? Take frozen ones and put them in the oven, set it to 12 minutes and you have crispy fries that will more than suffice for fast food. I rarely use my home oven these days!
