5 out of 5 stars Amazing oven! I can pretty much quit using my big oven.   April 5, 2007

We previously had a small Krups toaster oven, which, while very, very good, was not quite big enough for me. It seemed wasteful to heat up the big oven just to bake six biscuits, or roast a medium sized roast, so we went to this model. What a joy it has been. It takes longer to preheat than my small oven, which makes sense, since it's bigger, duh.

Who the heck thinks this oven is too small? It's huge! I can easily fit a casserole pan inside. The convection feature is fantastic, my buttermilk biscuits have NEVER been so tasty. I can even bake cakes and things of that nature inside. The door seals securely.

I've also broiled duck legs and steaks inside and they turn out juicy.

Unfortunately, I bought the demo model, and some of the pieces for the rotisserie are missing. Delonghi has promised to ship them, and I am crossing my fingers it all works out. If it doesn't, you can be sure I will post here, ripping them mercilessly.

Additionally, this oven is going to allow me to ditch my microwave, which is great, since my foodie self thinks microwaves are kind of tacky. This oven has basically replaced our big oven, which now is only used for cast iron skillet storage.

I don't know how it works for toast, since we have an actual toaster. It seems it'd be rather wasteful to try to use this ginormous oven for toast, but I guess if you were making a ton of toast it would make sense.

I highly recommend this product. I rave about it to everyone I know.

There is not enough room here to describe the problems with this piece of junk! Beware. I just wasted $387.00 and no one will help. Stop on door closes to 3" instead of 3/4", outside of oven gets as hot as the inside, minus button for temp and time does not work and the crumb tray is impossible to remove for cleaning. The energy rating for this oven has to be approaching zero.

I purchased this item from antother very reputable on line retailer. It was missing some parts and had Styrofoam packing lodged behind the circulating fan. Delonghi instructed me to return it to a warranty repair center. It was returned in worse condition with parts missing, and now Delonghi tells me that I have to take up the issue with UPS. Their warranty is less than "lip service".

DeLonghi Oven AD1099 cooks as a great second oven. The convection oven cooks evenly, fast and browns roasts great. The broiler works as well. For the price and size of the oven, it's a great value and addition to your kitchen.

What pans are going to fit in this thing? Doll house kitchen equipment?

The shallow pan looks like it could hold a cup and a half of stuff.

Must I do Casseroles in loaf pans? (loaf pans look doubtful too with the size of this thing.) Dinner could take hours to cook for three people. Well, I guess we will eat in shifts.
