I have had this machine for about 4 days and I am thrilled with it. It is easy to use, no mess, and it is fast. It makes way more froth than I like but I just scrape it off. I have had 5 espresso machines and this is by far hands down the BEST!

I'm so glad I decided to spend the money for this machine. It is very easy to use and has worked fine since purchased 7 months ago. I had an espresso maker that I purchased from a dept store that broke within a couple of months (and was a hassle to use). With the Saeco, I don't have to worry about whether I'm packing the ground coffee correctly, etc. All you have to do is clean it once a week and make sure the water reservoir has water and the bean compartment has beans. I use the frothing wand all the time and it works great!

I ordered my machine from Amazon and it arrived in early Sept. Out of the box it was defective - water poured through the machine. The paperwork in the box indicated that I had to work directly with the manufacturer on returns. So I started the process with Saeco USA. They are only open east coast hours, I am on the west coast. They rarely answer the phone - 9 out of 10 calls go to voicemail and are never returned. They promised to ship a repair part overnight - two weeks went by, no part, no call. Finally, I contacted Amazon, who shipped me a new unit and I shipped back my defective one. Thanks Amazon. The unit makes decent coffee - but you have to heat the milk before steaming or frothing - the machine doesn't generate enough heat to convert cold milk to hot and steamy. The froth is good but the milk is just lukewarm. I like the convenience of the automatic machine and it is much cleaner than separate grinder/brewer options. I really hope this think never breaks - I dread the customer service nightmare at Saeco.
