5 out of 5 stars "Recession" buster!   May 14, 2008

I saw Alton Brown and Emeril using a Jaccard Meat Tenderizer on their shows so did some research and decided on the Deni 48 blade meat tenderizer since it is a trusted brand name, it got rave reviews and of course, it was a lower price but the same quality. I entitled my review "Recession" buster since I can now buy a chuck roast, slice it length wise, then into steak portions and use my new Deni and voila! I have a perfect steak for grilling which is a fraction of the price of other steaks. I have purchased a lot of kitchen gadgets in my lifetime (most wound up in a garage sale) but this is a must have for any kitchen!

5 out of 5 stars Tenderized Meat is Almost a Guarantee   May 3, 2008
John Joseph Ancellotti (Williamsburg, VA)
Great product! Recommend if possible using it when the meat is defrosted enough that the tines will penetrate with ease. Tenderizing this way will keep from the meat being squashed.

4 out of 5 stars Nice idea that works well, but...   April 8, 2008

Make sure you make multiple passes per side (4+) of any meat to ensure a good tenderized meat. Tougher meats like beef (i.e. chuck) will require more passes per side.

5 out of 5 stars Works like a champ   March 27, 2008

This thing is amazing! You have to try it. No more pounding your meat to a pulp! I would never trade it for one of those hammer looking tenderizers. Have had mine over a year and its survived frequent use and top rack dishwasher washing.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome   March 4, 2008

This item is just great. It is solid in construction. Not only does it make the meat more tendor and let it absorb marinade better and faster. It also allows the meat to cook faster and if you are breading the meat, the breading stays on better. Highly Recommended.
