Product performed perfect for three uses then stopped working. Product was replaced in a timely fashion at no expense to me. New one is working fine at this time. It makes GREAT waffles.

Weekend one, great waffles. A bit tricky on the speed at which you need to get the thing flipped but not undoable.

The next week end, a tiny piece of black plastic falls out. Now the machine will not close properly. without the ability to close, it won't make waffles. Was mine the one bad one??? I know I am not buying anther.

5 out of 5 stars VillaWare 2010 vs. Waring WMK300   May 12, 2008

After spending $10 a waffle in a local pancake house, I decided to buy a waffle maker for myself. I did some research and narrow down to Villaware 2010 and Waring WMK300. Although Waring WMK300 has better rating score in Amazon (over 400 reviews and 4.5 stars), I still bought the Villaware 2010.

1. Waring WMK300 looks ugly and cheap. The handle is too long and the join is very loose. The stainless steel clamshell is thin and dull.
Villaware 2010 has nice curve and short handle. The stainless steel clamshell is shiny and thick. It looks more expensive and durable.

2. Waring WMK300 recently has many bad reviews. Most customers complained it stopped working after using couple times. Even replacement is not doing any good. And it only has 1-year warranty.
Villaware is not perfect and also getting some quality complains, but it has 3-years warranty.

3. Waring WMK300 price is around $80-$90.
Villaware 2010 price is around $90-$100. But Amazon has the best price I cannot find in anywhere. It is only cost $60 with free shipping.

So base on these three points. I got the Villaware waffle maker. I tried it last weekend. And everything was going very well. It is very easy to use and clean.

2 out of 5 stars Worked fine but . . . . . .   May 5, 2008

The waffler waffled fine for about 2 years and then in the middle of a batch it quit heating. Checked with customer service since it was supposed to be on a 3-yr warranty but since I didn't have a receipt and the cord was missing the date of mfg. stamp, they couldn't help me. It really made great waffles but it certainly wasn't overworked. I used it to make 1-2 waffles about every 1 - 2 months, not much before it failed.

This waffler is so easy to use and it made PERFECT waffles on the very first try. It's also a snap to clean up afterwards. No reservations in recommending this product.
