 Sad little waffle maker March 22, 2008

I realize for the price not to expect to much, but I gave it a go. On the second batch of waffles the latch mechanism jammed. I gave it a solid tug, nothing over the top and the latch popped off. Because of the steam, the latch and the spring shot across the counter. The waffles were lovely, tasty and delicious, but unfortunately the little waffle maker is toast. I will contact the manufacturer, but because of shipping costs, I will most likely toss it out and chuck it up to cheap.

So far I enjoy my waffel maker. The stainless steal gets very hot, but other than that it gets the job done. It is compact and the cleaning is pretty easy. I haven't had a problem with my batter getting stuck to the plates. All in all it's a good little waffle maker for the price.

Lightweight, compact, basic.
When in use, it is very very hot even on lowest temperature. There are warning stickers on the maker.
This is nothing fancy. I don't expect it will last a long time either.
