Product Description
French Fry Cutter, Thin & Thick With 2 Stainless Steel Blades, 25 & 49 Hole.

Amazon.com Review
This lightweight cutter divides a potato into its french-fry essence in a jiffy. One blade creates up to 49 3/8-inch fries with a single lever-push. The other creates up to 25 half-inch fries. You'll get those numbers, however, only if you precisely shape a large potato to fit the bed. The bed's size is the cutter's only drawback. Even if you cut a large potato to fit the head, the fry length is at most 3-1/2 inches. That length, however, is ideal for carrot, cucumber, and zucchini batons to assemble a vegetable tray around a bagna cauda, an Italian dipping sauce of olive oil, butter, garlic, and anchovies. And such batons get you halfway to a pretty dice for a vegetable soup. Hand wash. --Fred Brack

1 out of 5 stars What a disappointment   June 23, 2008

Worked great...until the 5th time when the blades started coming apart. Cheap too thin blades are the culprit. I would have spent a little more to get better blades and something that would last longer....not worth the money and should be pulled from Amazon!! this is a LEMON

2 out of 5 stars French fries   June 18, 2008

Does not make fries well. Takes too much power to use. I'll probably never use it again.

5 out of 5 stars Great deal :)   June 7, 2008

When I saw this little gadget I was thinking it wouldn't last very long with the abuse I know I would put it through in my kitchen, but to my surprise this little darling is amazing. It was worth every penny I paid for it, and I plan on buying this for my friends and family. If you enjoy making fries or other items then buy this product and stay away from the high-end stuff because this little gem can keep up with the big boys :)

5 out of 5 stars Great Value   May 16, 2008

Since I have manually been cutting my own French fries for sides, I figured I would try it for the price and found that it worked much better than expected and saved tons of time/labor. A large Potato may need to be trimmed or squared off slightly to fit easily, but the slicer works great and cleans easily.

Unlike other reviews that nearly scared me off, the lever felt solid and easily cut through the largest potato with no problems as long as you have a little hand strength to get it started. The slicer is equipped with a long hand lever (moment arm) for increased inertia which results in reduced cutting effort.

Just a great product for the price for anyone who is manually hand cutting their french fries. There are 2 different blade options for thicker or thinner fries depending on how you like them. I have just used the thicker blade and only use it for French fries but would imagine the smaller blade would cut even easier.

2 out of 5 stars Way too small and cheep   May 5, 2008
Robert Tickell (Long Beach CA)
I got this unit to make french fries ... it will only cut potatoes 4" or smaller ... so most potatoes have to be cut 1 or 2" shorter ... and the fries are too small. In expensive plastic unit with the handle and cutters are the only metal on it ... pass this up and use a knife ... RT
