5 out of 5 stars Great strainer   October 1, 2008
MES (St. Louis, Missouri USA)
It may be just a strainer but I'm finding so many cooking uses for it I wonder how I've cooked without it! It can replace all those old strainer spoons and really drains the liquid. A kitchen "must-have".

4 out of 5 stars frying strainer   September 29, 2008

I have needed this for a long time. We deep fry in a dutch oven and have always had a problem getting hot food out of the pot. This is a perfect size (5") and stainless steel and allows me to get a lot of food out in a hurry.

5 out of 5 stars Well made kitchen tool   August 20, 2008
FXP (New York City)
I was surprised how sturdy this strainer is made. The bamboo handle is thick and well attached to the basket. I also like the percent of open area to wire in the basket which strains larger items really fast. This is going to replace my slotted spoon for most chores.

5 out of 5 stars Handy little gadget   July 27, 2008

Very handy ladle. With the criss-crossed construction, you might want to be sure to soak it awhile after use and before washing it so that bits of food don't get trapped. Used it once so cannot say if the handle endures repeated uses.

5 out of 5 stars A Nifty, Must-Have Utensil   January 2, 2008

I purchased this on whim as a Christmas gift for my husband, who is the cook in our house. He has already used it several times and we are both wondering how he survived without it! It is a very high quality utensil and it makes frying "delicate" food very easy. I highly recommend this strainer.
