2 out of 5 stars non-stick container has SHORT LIFE SPAN   March 17, 2010
Ms. Lee (United States)
I use to LOVE this little rice cooker - Perfect for a family of 2-4, rice cooked great all the time, easy to clean. But after a year & a half of Gentle use - the non-stick container started to peel. THIS is VERY DISAPPOINTING. This Happened to my previous rice cooker, different brand. NO ONE WANTS TO SPEND $$$$ for a hard to find replacement container. Who wants to buy another cooker every 1-2 years!?!

5 out of 5 stars Great little rice cooker, especially for a bachelor   March 11, 2010

I have nothing but great things to say about this little cooker. I use it about once a week and is so simple to use and clean. Just put in the rice and water, hit the switch, and 15 minutes later I have perfect rice. It is very simple to clean and the rice spoon that comes with it works great for getting every grain out and onto my plate. A great buy in my book...

4 out of 5 stars Solid Rice Cooker for the Price   March 8, 2010
Andrey Dravinski (Los Angeles California)
Overall a great product.

I've had the cooker now for about a month. I've cooked several batches of brown rice and regular rice and so far each batch has come out well. It is a bit on the slow side when compared to a stovepot preparation, but the lack of mess to clean up afterwards and the warm feature creates a natural steaming environment for fluffing the rice, so that's a definite improvement to be sure. It also takes up almost no countertop space so you can tuck it into a corner and let it work it's magic. Wish it came with the steamer basket though. :( It seems this particular model variant does not include it.

My only complaint so far is the screw securing the lid to the lid handle has come loose and has required re-tightening a few times.

Otherwise, so far so good!

3 out of 5 stars You Get What You Pay For   March 1, 2010

I didn't expect longevity from a cheap rice cooker and I wasn't disappointed. A little more than a year after having this, some kind of coating is coming off of the pan. It's gross. I'm in the market now for a replacement and I'll make sure I get one that's better quality this time. However, this little rice cooker did the job fine for the money we paid. We use it at least once a week, sometimes as much as 5-6 times a week.

5 out of 5 stars Great rice cooker   February 27, 2010

I am very happy with this, my first, rice cooker. I have only used it a few times, and the rice isn't quite as fluffy as when I cook it on my stovetop (and it comes out, lol), but I'm sure I'll get that dialed in by either changing the amount of water, soak time, or the time I let the rice sit keeping warm. After using this rice cooker I am now even more skeptical of the high prices attached to other rice cookers. If it were to break a couple years from now, I would by the same one to replace it.
