5 out of 5 stars Great Little Rice Cooker   May 20, 2008
Don Riddick (Birmingham, AL, United States)
We have the larger version of this cooker, which cooks rice perfectly. What we like about this little one (apart from the slick stainless steel looks) is that for one meal for 2-4 people, it is just the right size. It cooks much faster, in part due to the smaller area for steam, etc to go.
We love this product, and highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars BEST RICE COOKER   May 17, 2008
Twins Mom (Carmel, NY USA)
I had a cheap rice cooker before this one that left a sticky mess all over it and the counter then I found this and now we are in rice heaven! This thing makes all kinds of rice with ease! I would never buy another brand other than the Zojirushi! Well worth the money spent!! Love it!

5 out of 5 stars rice maker extrordinaire   April 26, 2008
mark twain (hartford, Ct)
You want great rice, ease of operation, a better ricemaker doesn't exist. I've tried 5 or 6 diff. rices and they all come out to perfection. The warmer keeps it hot and steamy. I'm in rice rapture.

5 out of 5 stars Makes perfect rice - Attention and intelligence optional   April 6, 2008

While this unit is a little pricey, it was worth every cent. Living in a small apartment and cooking just for myself makes this particular size perfect. It's very sleek looking, and clean up is very easy (just wash out the bowl, and it's even easier if you remember to do it as soon as it cools off). Most importantly, it's very easy to operate and I have had no burned rice. The only setting I use is for sushi rice (short grain rice), but it does it very well (as can be expected, as it is a Japanese model!) and it's always fluffy and perfect. My only warning is that it might take a bit longer than one is used to: it takes almost 45 minutes to make the rice on the normal setting, and the quick cook, while nice to have, leaves something to be desired (it's the post-cooking time that makes the rice fluffy). However, I just put the rice and water in, go do something for 45 minutes, then dinner is served! 5 stars!
