I can't actually comment on how well this product may work because it has never worked.
We bought this humidifier intending to use it in my child's room. Having bought it late in the winter, it was left unopened in the original box because we didn't need it immediately.
Now in September, we've opened it to discover that it is DOA. Doesn't work at all, no red light, no sound, no smell, no nothing.
It merely looks cute.
We'll either keep it as a cute door stop or it'll be in tomorrow's trash.
Sadly, I've lost enough interest in it where I feel no outrage, just disappointment.

I like this product very much. I bought a defective one, which is very noise, because of the problem of the fan. However, they exchange an excellent one in a week. It is very very quite, and effective to make room humid. I am very appreciate to introduce it to all my friends. Colorado is very dry, it give me the comfortable sleep. It is very suitable for the dry place.

I have had the penguin humidifier for a year and it stopped working already.What a waste of money.It leaks a lot and the red light always comes on which means there is something wrong with it.Do not buy the penguin humidifier.

My baby who is 2 months old now used to have congestion problem more in the night and by the morning he is all fussy and unable to breathe properly. After we purchased this product and used it, i could see the difference in one night only and is looking happy in the morning.Its worth the price and what more , it even looks cute in his room beside his crib.

This is one of those products that make you think about the "safety" of plastics. It had a really strong chemical smell. I had originally bought this humidifier for my newborn since some baby books recommend the use of one. However, I'd imagine this chemical smell would be harmful to all people. I was willing to try the product thinking that the smell would go away, but the unit wouldn't turn on - it was probably for the better that it didn't work anyway. Why risk the chemical fumes, especially after all of the trouble I went to purchase BPA-free baby bottles?
