Great for the price! February 14, 2010 A. Shankle This is a great little rice cooker for the price. It's a good size for a couple or a small family. I have had the problem of the rice on the bottom burning like some of the other reviewers, but the rest of the rice turned out perfectly. All in all it's a good, dependable little rice cooker.
No-fuss, compact little wonder January 30, 2010 K. Chan I absolutely love this for the price and the convenience. I've always hated the fact that whenever I cooked rice in my regular stove-top pot, the liquid would always boil over and make a mess. With this cooker, the lid is heavy enough (and not as much water is needed) that I don't have that problem. The rice cooks in a jiffy and the plastic rice scoop doubles as the perfect scraper for the rice that sticks on the bottom. No worries...the rice at the bottom ALWAYS comes off. I've been using rice cookers since I was a kid, and this one is well worth the money!
Mistake !! January 26, 2010 Carolann P. Wade (West Palm Beach, Fl) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased this rice/steam vegatable cooker (Aroma ARC-733G)...big mistake..Followed directions on steam veggies...it boiled the water away, burned the veggies...Second try...water boiled away, left rice half cooked and while on "warm" as with the vegs. burned the rice. Going to return it. Might be defective heating element...looking for something better. Alifare
Rice industry standard Cups January 20, 2010 Rod Edwards 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This cooker is smaller than you might expect. The blurb says 3 cup - making 6 cups of cooked rice. But beware - the small print points out that these are not US standard cups they are "Rice industry standard" Cups. these measure 3/4 US cups so the max amount of cooked rice you will get is 4 1/2 cups.
Not Worth It! January 18, 2010 Sonny Nguyen (Chua Duoc Su, GG CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The rice stick to the bottom, and therefore, to much trouble to clean afterwards. Also too small, more like for one-person use.
