Very powerful motor June 24, 2008 Spencerinc (USA) I love this mixer. It's very powerful and sturdy. I've been able to mix thick batters with it. In the past, I've had cheaper mixers which could only handle liquids. The motor on this one is also quieter. I could talk on the phone while mixing. The color is a very dark blue. The surface is easy to clean with a damp cloth. I like the angled handle. It's easier than other mixers because you don't have to hold your elbow up so high in order to mix. The cord is very thick. I assume this is for durability. I'm ambidextrous and have found that it's easy to use the mixer with either hand, even though the cord comes out of the right side of the mixer. It's easiest to hold the mixer with the hand closest to the power outlet. That keeps the thick cord out of the way. My mixer came with beaters, a whisk and a drink mixer. I've used the whisk attachment most and have made many meringues. The design of the beaters is different from most mixers' beaters in that there's no center column. This keeps the dough or batter mixing better instead of building up in the center of the beaters.
KitchenAid Professional Handheld Mixer, Blue Willow February 23, 2008 C. Coleman 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Disappointed with the color (color resembles a dark country blue). I was expecting more of a true Blue Willow or Cobalt Blue. I use the drink mixer attachment a lot for mixing powered drinks and it works well for that task. However, I don't use this mixer much for anything else since I purchased the KitcheAid Artisian stand mixer which is stored on my counter. To use this hand mixer, I have to pull it out of a cabinet and put it away when I finish with it, and it lacks the power of the stand mixer. Also, the hand mixer does not allow me to do other task while things are mixing as the stand mixer does.
Great handheld February 18, 2008 Mark Craven (Woodland, WA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great handheld blender. It is quiet and powerful. Very happy with it. Update: After only owning it for a few months, one of the beaters has snapped off all four of its metal tines while mixing cookie dough. All four of the prongs broke at the same time and so we already had to order replacements.
Amazing Mixer February 8, 2008 Matthew S. Staben (Spokane, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This mixer for $33 is a no-brainer. 9 Speeds, from slow to fast, and it's STRONNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!
Love It! February 8, 2008 J. Suh (New York, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this set for a great price and I'm so pleased. I love baking and I've been using the same mixer I stole from my mom about 10 years ago. I hadn't realized that there were so many advances in hand mixer technology so I was uber-impressed. It's a good weight, is fairly quiet and batter doesn't get stuck inside the mixer attachments. And now everyone gets more cupcakes so we're all happy.
