Excellent for white or brown rice. Only negative is the fact unit (including inner pot) is very light compared to National rice cooker it replaced. It does not seem as sturdy as the National unit. Time will tell. But it does an excellent job making rice (as it should). And you can't beat the price!

I love this pretty rice cooker as the steam is all contained inside so no messes to clean on the outside and like how it stays cool to the touch. I buy only long grain brown rices so am still experimenting to get the right amount of liquid for the consistency I like but love the nonstick inside container making clean up a snap. I highly recommend this product to those who love rice. I haven't tried steaming vegetables yet but that is a bonus with this model.

This rice cooker is not only pleasing to the eye but it is user friendly and cooks rice just right. The only slight complaint I had was the rice does stick just a tad to the bottom. Might want to spray the bottom with some Pam first. Even though it sticks a skosh it does not burn or affect the taste of the rice. I buy all my rice in bulk and this cooker cooks it all the way through and it tastes great. I'm glad I bought it.

Cooks rice (usually indian basmati) perfectly, and steams veggies at the same time. very happy with it.
No problems so far with rice sticking to bottom.

I've had a lot of rice cookers in my lifetime so far. It's like buying a pot - they're all basically the same and some are fancier than others. But it's all the same. This makes great rice. period. and it's a good price.
