| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com This electronic bathroom scale adds a modern accent to a contemporary-styled bathroom, and produces accurate results. The 12-by-11-inch square platform is made of attractive tempered safety glass, and is comfortable and spacious for weight-conscious people of any stature. A huge 1-inch LED display makes readouts easy to see. The scale instantly turns on and produces a weight reading as soon as it is stepped on, and provides precise readings up to 330 pounds (150 kilograms). A toggle on the side of the scale lets users choose between weight readings in pounds or kilograms. This scale runs on one Lithium battery, which should last the lifetime of the scale. Homedics covers this scale under a lifetime limited warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Clear read, sleek design May 3, 2008 M. Potter (DC) Easy to use. Some variation in weight reading. I get on the scale three times and take the average.
It's attractive, but inaccurate April 20, 2008 Amanda J. Ford (Colorado) I bought this scale in Jan. coinciding with a New Year's resolution for wt loss. It is attractive and worked well at first. All of a sudden, overnight, I gained 15 lbs. Had my husband step on and it was the same thing. So, for the price, 4 months of usage is not worth it. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and will be purchasing another scale - as you can imagine, nothing from Homedics. What a dud!
nice design, seems accurate February 29, 2008 C#min14 (Maryland, USA) I bought this scale in Aug, 2007, because I found its looks very appealing. Also like the large, easy-to-read digits and that you can change the pounds (switch on the back) to kilograms. I was surprised at the other reviewers' comments about its inaccuracy. My experience is the opposite. Now that I'm pregnant, I have a reason to weigh myself regularly, and it seems to have been correct. No matter how many times or how many different ways I try to step on it, it gives the same results. Just tested it with some dumbells: 3+4+5 lbs. I weighed them (together) several times, always showed 12.2 lbs. Well, at least it's consistent. I don't really care about a smaller than 1.5 lbs variance, anyway - I can easily gain/lose that much with dinner/exercise :) I update my review when I get to be heavier (vs 104)... to see if it's still accurate. The reasons I gave it 4 stars: it was a bit pricey for one. Second, I don't know who dropped what on this, but it got scratched up a little bit in that middle metal part. Just have to be a bit careful around it.
Buy a different scale! February 20, 2008 open wide (new york) I bought this product 6 months ago and it now varies in weight buy as much as five pounds in five minutes. Buy a different scale.
Broke after a year December 13, 2007 Lisa M. (San Jose, CA) I bought this scale at Macys for $50 last spring. Worked fine until last month when I noticed that the scale would indicate a "bare" signal. I looked at the user manual and it doesn't mention what that means. I too agree, that it is inaccurate. If you step on the scale different ways, you could weigh 5lbs heavier or 5lbs lighter. My opinion, scale looks nice but I wouldn't buy it again.
