Second Time DVD Player Breaks... August 28, 2008 AKA I purchased this CD Clock Radio because it had everything I needed- Radio, Clock, iPod connector and CD Player (and it looked very sleek). I purchased the first one and after a few days the CD stopped working (unfortunately I didn't have the receipt so I could take it back to the store). Given the good reviews, I figured it was a fluke so I purchased another one because I couldn't find another model that had all components I needed and looked as good as this. Lo and behold 10 months after using the second clock radio the CD stopped working...I can't believe that's a coincidence.
very useful August 2, 2008 Karis D. Scott this is the gift i bought for my son's birthday gift ,,he really likes it , thanks
Disappointed June 2, 2008 gabhanjacisa 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a very attractive machine, and it worked very well...for a while, maybe 4 months. Then, one day, no power at all to the unit. Sony would have taken it back, but unfortunately for me, I stupidly threw the receipt away, never thinking that I would need it on a Sony product. Oh, well, live and learn.
Just What I was Looking For! April 2, 2008 Georgia Bailey (Bakersfield, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a clock radio that would play CD's. I've gone through several in the last 3 years...I'd figure out how to use them and then some part of it would break. The light adjustment on this unit is great - it really does light the room when set at full power. At the lowest power in does not disturb sleep. It was a little confusing to set up, but I called the 800 number and a very nice woman told me just how to do it. The sound is great! The only flaw, so far, is the buttons on the side are hard to read in dim light - actually in any light. I would recommend this product.
NICE!! February 19, 2008 San Tan At first I thought it was a bit much to pay for an alarm clock and then I found it on sale at Circuit City on Feb 18 2008 for about $75.00, so, I decided to give it a try. I had NO IDEA an alarm clock could do this much or I would have bought one a LONG time ago! The sound is crisp and clear, you can hook your ipod to it, it has 3 alarm presets, you can play cd's (CDR's work perfect!)and even go to sleep and wake up to your cd (you can even choose a specific song to wake up to!). There is a really nice blue back light but if its too bright you can adjust it... one setting even turns it off! Instead of setting the time you set the timezone and it even updates on its own for daylight savings time!! The radio stations come in perfectly and I live in between Tuscon and Phoenix so I am always having problems getting in channels clearly in my car but this unit picks them up perfect! Set up was Really easy! I couldn't ask for more.... I LOVE this Dream Machine!
