Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The convenient way to cover cool-rise yeast dough, cookie batters and pastries as they chill in the refrigerator. Durable plastic covers also provide tidy storage for flat beater, wire whip and dough hook inside your mixing bowl. Medium cover fits 4 1/2-quart KitchenAid models K45, KSM90, KSM103 and KSM110. Large cover fits 5-quart KitchenAid models KP5, KV, KT, KD, KB and 6-quart bowl lift models. Non-sealing. Top rack dishwasher-safe.

Amazon.com Review
These covers sit securely over the bowl of a 4-1/2-quart KitchenAid stand mixer, so you can store your mixer attachments in the bowl but keep them out of site. Use them, too, to cover cool-rise yeast doughs or leftover cookie batters, mashed potatoes, and more. These clear, lightweight lids make it easy to keep extras in the fridge. Dishwasher-safe, but only on the top rack. --Betsy Danheim

5 out of 5 stars Fits Perfectly   August 5, 2008
L. Altomare (Felton, Pennsylvania)
First of all I emailed Kitchen Aid with the model number on the bottom of my bowl to make sure I bought the right lids. They fit perfectly and now I can keep my mixing attachments in my bowl. Some people have said the lids shrink after putting them in the dishwasher. Well, hello they are plastic. I have not had to wash mine yet, but I will not be putting mine in the dishwasher anyway.

5 out of 5 stars KitchenAid Bowl Covers   May 15, 2008
L. Bookwalter (Pittsburgh, PA)
This set is a good value. I'm keeping one for myself and giving the second to my married daughter with a spare stainless bowl that I purchased for her. The indentation allows you to store the covered bowl on the countertop with the mixer head down and locked; dust is kept out of bowl when not in use. I plan to use the lid when I make refrigerated cookie dough...LB (Pittsburgh, PA)

5 out of 5 stars Perfect fit   April 12, 2008

I was a bit worried when I bought these that they wouldn't fit right due to other reviewers. The fit like a glove. Just perfect! Great buy at this price also!

5 out of 5 stars KitchenAid mixer bowl covers - a smart solution   December 27, 2007

Cleverly designed to work while the mixer bowl is still attached to the mixier stand and the mixer power head is in the down position. Those engineers paid attention to the focus group. Heavy duty. Seal is snug.

5 out of 5 stars use it for butter   December 24, 2007

Just to clarify the product description - the opening in the middle of the lid is actually a cup-like depression, and the bottom is closed, so that the lid closes off the bowl. The cup is for the part of the mixer head that holds the blade to nestle down into, so the mixer head can sit level.

We have only one bowl, so we cut the bottom out of one lid and use it as a shield to keep cream from slinging out when we make butter. Works great!
