Great iron for the price. July 3, 2008 D. Arivett (Indiana) Pros- Plenty of steam, holds a lot of water, digital heat controls, auto shut-off... Cons- None that I can think of.
Good product but first one shipped was faulty June 30, 2008 JonathanP I'm happy with this product except for a few minor issues: 1) The first iron received was defective. Several segments of the LCD display did not work. This makes me wonder about quality and reliability. 2) There is no "cord storage solution." Other manufacturers have come up with ways to make storing the cord easier -- but not Black & Decker. 3) The iron is rather lightweight. In some cases, you have to push down on it instead of letting the weight of the iron do the work.
So far, exceeds the others. June 28, 2008 Rednan (Illinois USA) I iron a lot and have purchased many irons in the past five years - most of them were top-of-the-line and top-of-the-price. I saw this one listed in a magazine as a good one. It heats extremely quickly, has nice even steaming, and nice to handle. I've only had it 30 days. We'll see if it holds up! So far, a really nice iron.
B&D Iron June 28, 2008 Joel M. Moskowitz (Lake Hopatcong, NJ USA) Bought this for my wife after her Rowenta Professional Iron died. She was very skeptical but now loves the iron. Reviewed by Consumer Reports as the best iron and a "Best Buy"
I'm excited about an Iron? June 28, 2008 Steven R. Trace (Ohio, USA) By far the best iron I've used in my 50+ years. Fits hand, comfortable, perfect in use. I bought based on Consumer Reports recommendation for its bigger brother D2050 and glad I saved the $20. Doubt the fancier model would do much better.
