I love this Aerobed! August 17, 2008 Heather Ashley (Pennsylvania, USA) I have had this Aerobed for a few weeks and I have used it about 10 times. I used it while I was on vacation for a week and I was very comfortable. I have back problems so it is much better then sleeping on the floor. The built-in air pump works great and the bed fills with air in less then a minuet. I bought a twin, so the time may be different depending on the size. After it is deflated, I roll it up and put it into a 2O inch duffel bag. There is plenty of room to fit sheets and blankets too. So far I really love this Aerobed, I hope to have it for many years.
Aerobed is not for everynight use August 8, 2008 RAB (Alhambra CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Never comfortable with a conventional box and springs, and fearful of leaks with a waterbed, we wanted an air bed. We had previously purchased and returned a SleepNumber bed, which has a divider separating the two halves of the bed, so that one sleeper rolls onto the other, and sleeping on top of the divider is rediculous. We had tried cheap air mattresses, which leaked almost from the start. Finally got the Aerobed, and were delighted with it until it started leaking and coming apart after 4 months. We contacted Aerobed, and they said that the Aerobeds are NOT intended for continuous use. But nothing in the advertisements said this, and the price is high enough that we expected better than only being able to use it occasionally. Aerobed sent a replacement under warranty, and despite warnings that it isn't suitable for regular use, we are going to try it again. There just isn't any other game in town.
Almost like a real bed. August 3, 2008 S. Krueger I got this airbed a few weeks ago, since I moved to a new flat and had no furniture when moving in. So I used the airbed as my regular bed for about a week, until the "real" bed arrived. The Aerobed turned out to be perfect! Easy to inflate in a minute or so, and you can perfectly adjust how soft or hard you want it to be via the remote it comes with. I also found the soft cover that comes with it very useful. I slept very well! No back pain or a stiff neck on the next morning, no waking up in the middle of the night, as I have experienced with other temporary sleeping solutions. After usage it is very easy to deflate, this happens also automatically. After usage you can store the bed in the bag that comes with it, it's not very big when deflated. I highly recommend the airbed, if you are looking for a temporary sleeping solution for you or your guests, go for it!
Good basic model July 27, 2008 Online shopper (Michigan, USA) Prior to this one, I had the Aerobed "off the floor" model. While I thought the convenience of a standard bed-height inflatable bed would be nice, it actually turned out to be a hassle. It took up a lot of room, weighed quite a bit, and required a fair amount of work to deflate, roll up, and stash. This model is very comfortable (friends report no air loss during the night) and a cinch to roll up and return to its stuff sack after use. It's also very lightweight and portable -- nice for uses such as camping as well as an extra guest bed. This is my third Aerobed (one traveled to my nephew's small NY apartment and "mysteriously" never returned), and I remain a fan of both the concept and the brand.
The nights could be longer.... July 26, 2008 Karen S. Myung (LA LA Land) So I just moved to LA and have been sleeping on the Aerobed until my bed arrives. It is much better than cheap air mattresses and well worth investing in a pricier air mattress, especially if you need to be sleeping on one for a couple weeks. My sister has one too in Brooklyn for guests. So considering that it is an air mattress, it is the best one that I have ever slept on.
