Product Description Housed in a smooth, modern-looking design, this 1000-watt electric kettle rapidly boils up to 1 quart of water for coffee, tea, instant soups, and more. The unit features a detachable cord and a nonspill spout for graceful serving, plus a generous handle with a secure grip. Its immersed heating element provides a rapid and quiet heating process, making it ideal for the office, home, or college dorm. Dual water-level indicators allow for convenient filling, and the unit's easy-open lid is designed with a security lock to prevent spilling. And there's no need to worry about leaving it on, the kettle automatically shuts off when the water boils, and its boil-dry protection keeps the unit from boiling when there's no water left

Proctor Silex K2070 1-Quart Automatic Electric Kettle October 13, 2008 P. A. Pearl (Salt Lake City, UT, USA) I use this appliance to boil water for coffee and soup, and I'm always amazed at how fast it does the job - perhaps a minute or less to boil the kettle contents. It's elegant, pours well, and takes up very little counter space. The supplied lead is only 2 ft and is way to short to leave plugged in when you are pouring water, but I replaced it with a standard computer lead that's plenty long enough. Nice product, inexpensive, and it works well.
Works quickly with no issue! October 13, 2008 Kimberly P. Kuoch (Berwyn, PA) The Proctor Silex electric kettle is great! It works quickly and silently to warm water. A minimum amount of water is necessary, but it is not that much of an issue.
It does its job! October 6, 2008 L. Demattei (FL, USA) I was looking for an electric kettle for the office and it really works well. The only thing i don't like it's the cord, it's too short, like other reviewers said. I have not noticed the plastic taste, that many complained about. It does what it's supposed to do, warm the water fairly quick, and for a cheaper price, just remember it feels and looks cheap. But it works well.
Tea Pot September 28, 2008 Tweedy32 (Ohio) I have one and I love it. Water heats up fast, turns off when boiled with no waste of energy and water is boiling hot. Will give it as a gift to my 85 year old Mother. Than I don't have to worry about the watering boiling away on the stove. I highly recommend it.
great for the price September 27, 2008 tmlwin This is the best electric boiler you can get for the price. What I don't like about this is that the cord is too short, and it's hard to pull out from the kettle (especially if it's filled with hot water).
