Great tea pot! November 18, 2008 V. Rodriguez (City by the Bay) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used to use steel tea pots but they would always rust or become discolored on the outside of the pot when being used on a gas stove. They were really hard to keep clean! But this KitchenAid porcelain teapot is great! It washes easy, gets really hot fast, and the whistle is loud so you can hear it from anywhere in your house. I would have given it 5 stars, though, if it weren't for the combination metal and "rubber" handle. It looks really sharp, but you have to use a pot holder to pick up the kettle to pour your tea. A full rubber handle or heat resistant metal would have been better.
good quality November 16, 2008 B. K. Sherman (Cordova, Alaska USA) very nice tea kettle. a pain to get the spout open to pour but just a matter of getting used to it.
Wonderful Whistler!! November 4, 2008 Karoline Momin (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ok yall I was not an avid tea drinker and this is my first tea kettle. I read and searched and read some more before I settled on this one. I wanted a pink teapot that whistled loud cause I am a new tea drinker. This one is great. It whistles loud. It doesnt get hot on the handle or the little flippy thingy. But test yours first before you go touching it. I do set mine on high on my stove but I rent and have a bad stove. So I suggest following the instructions first and if that doesnt work then find the right setting for you. Other than that this is a great kettle and nice to look at too...
Cook For The Cure? August 6, 2008 Laurel Gardens (Davenport, IA) 2 out of 8 found this review helpful
Having bought EVERY pink item in the last several months. I was dismayed to discover that none of the money was going to CFTC just because I had bought them. Seems that in VERY small print on the hang tag, there is a disclaimer. You have to go online and register the product. Only then will KitchenAid fork over the Money...... Yes for something as small as a set of measuring cups or a knife, you have to register. Of course I discovered this long after I had thrown away the hang tags. So I went to LOWES and wrote down the UPC from the items they still stocked there. They were out of several items I have and didn't know if they were getting any more. So now I am off to the mall kitchen store. Wish me luck. Oh and SAVE those hang tags. I am posting this same complaint on every kitchenaid item at amazon
