Had this ice crusher for more than a month now. I love the crushed ice it creates. Two down sides: it's very VERY loud and seems to choke on more than 4 pieces of ice. If you can live with those limitations (I can), buy it!

Was disappointed that you had to feed the machine one ice cube at a time. It did a great job as far as the end result, but was pretty time consuming. If you had several glasses of ice to make, it could take awhile to achieve your goal.

This ice crusher is awesome. Growing up my mom had an electric ice crusher from the late 70's... we used it like crazy until it just gave up one day. For several years we lived without, always searching for a comparable crusher with no luck, until now. This little gem, while slightly noisy, is much quieter than whirling ice around in a blender (and quieter than our old 70's model!). It crushes consistently so there are no huge chunks to break your teeth on or fine snow that melts quickly watering down your drink. Sure you can't stuff 5 ice cubes down the chute at once but this is an ice crusher, not a blender, it gives equal attention to crushing each cube. I definitely recommend the Deni if you crave crunching on crushed ice. It's prefect!!
