Product Description The Santoku knife has become widely recognized as a knife that cuts with the utmost precision and no effort is even required! Similar to a chef's knife in that it can complete many kitchen cutting tasks, the Forged Synergy Santoku boasts hollow edges; it has special indentations to ensure food slides easily away and helps prevent foods from sticking as you slice. It has a 7-in. high-carbon steel blade that's forged. Please handwash with mild dish soap.

Great Knife February 15, 2008 J. Murray (Brigantine, NJ USA) This knife is a good weight and is extremely sharp, in a word, flawless. Is there anything else you need from a review for a Henckels Santoku?
Excellent Value December 6, 2007 V. Hovhannisyan (Germantown, MD United States) Wonderful knife for it's price. Nowhere a professional one, but a perfect buy for inhome use.
The best money you'll spend November 2, 2007 H. Slack This knife is the best! Nicely weighted, comfortable to use, good grade stainless and very sleek. This one I'd recommend for any cook.
Only semi granton edge July 3, 2007 P. Chidlaw 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This knife has grantons (hollow spots) ground on only one side of the blade -- the side that shows in the packaging. The flat side sticks like any non-granton blade. The blade is also a bit thick for a santoku, more like a 7-inch forged chefs knife.
Seems pretty solid June 26, 2007 Jordan H. Kanavel (On the Beach) I was looking for an inexpensive beginner knife. I picked up one of these and so far it seems to work very well. It cuts cleanly and easily, it remains to be seen how well the edge holds though. I didn't expect it to perform as well as a higher end knife, but so far I've been pleasantly suprised.
