Quality for a good price October 28, 2008

I'm happy with the quality of this colander. I make pasta about once a week, and the plastic one I had previously wasn't working for me. The pasta clung to the plastic and got caught in the holes. I've had this one for a couple months and I find it easy to use and it is very sturdy.

I would never have thought a colander would inspire my first Amazon review! But this is such a nice piece of kitchen equipment--great weight, size and utility. A comment from a previous reviewer regarding the footed bottom (rather than a ring) allowing liquid to escape more easily made a lot of sense to me and proved to be a great feature. I am really enjoying this purchase...

I love it, it's a great big size that can handle a lot of pasta, and the inside is polished so highly that it actually creates holographs - kind of neat :) When not in use, I use it to store fruit and things on my counter, it looks great and is functional.

I love this colander. I have been looking for a strong stainless colander and finally found one. It is durable and a great quality of stainless. I love it and highly recommend it.

i bought the colander and a braune potato ricer. They are all introduced that be made of 18/10 stainless steel. There is the '18/10' on the ricer but there isn't any symbol on the surface of the colander. i am not sure whether it is made of 18/10 stainless steel or not. Anyway, it looks good and sturdy.
