My previous strainers were a set of three purchased for $20. Yuck! I'm so glad I upgraded to these strainers. I'm a little miffed because my set of three cost $100. I have the 5", 7" and 9". I would have loved to get the 3" too.
At any rate, these live up to the famous All-Clad quality. They are heavy for their size and absolutely beautiful. I tried to press the wire mesh inward and it was very difficult to do so. The wire presses in very easily on my previous set. The mesh on these is actually stronger than the mesh on my colanders!
These are dishwasher safe (my two favorite words). If your strainers get a lot of use, consider this set. It is worth the price.

I have been replacing my old ugly kitchen tools and All-Clad has been my brand of choice. These are tools to last a lifetime looking beautiful and remaining useful.
