| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review Available in seven different sizes, Cuisipro's hand strainer features sturdy construction and a fine mesh basket. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, the dishwasher-safe piece ably blanches vegetables, washes fruit, sifts flour for baking recipes, and filters out unwanted seeds or material for canning. An oval-shaped handle resembles a heavyweight wire folded in the middle; providing strength, length to keep hands cool, and convenient hanging storage. Measuring 12-3/4 inches from end to end with a basket diameter of 6-1/4 inches, this product comes with a limited lifetime warranty. -- Amy Arnold
Product Description Standard mesh strainers from Cuisipro are superb quality, constructed with the finest quality stainless steel. The long curved handle fits your hand comfortably and stays cool.

Very Strange Cuisipro Strain! Bad Design! Don't buy! September 15, 2006 M. chang (Sunny West Coast) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I will give 0 star if there's one! It's about time someone said something! Thank you, Beth! This strain has the terrible design. With the normal strainer, you drain and flip over to clean with water stream. Then, the job is done. But with this strainer, due to the rim overhang inside, after you drain and flip over to clean with the water, and the water will wash some of the residue down into the gap between the net and the overhanging rim. Believe me, it took me 15 minutes just trying to wash the blueberry residue off the gap once. The gap is big enough for food to stuck into, and small enough for your finger or any tools to clean! What a shame! This well made strainer could be very handy if not for this overhanging rim inside!! As Beth said, buy it if you are going to use it for decoration, but not for use! Update: Last while I was baking apple pie, I found another good use with this bad design strainer: it can do the shifting flour job! The screen is so fine that the flour becomes so fine after shifting with this strainer! Thanks God I am not going to waste this strainer!
What were they thinking? December 26, 2005 Beth 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Well, it looks pretty. . .but that's about as far as it goes. One wonders if the people that designed this strainer ever used it. The thing you don't find out until you have this in your hand is that that pretty stainless rim has an overhang on the inside. The result is that when you turn the strainer over to rinse out whatever you strained out, that material lodges in the overhang and is essentially impossible to clean out. I have only the 12.25" size, but I'm guessing all the sizes in this line have the same problem. If you want a strainer as a kitchen decoration, then buy this. If you actually want to use it, don't buy it.
