Pros:
-Easy to clean. Compare to metal strainers, you will save a lot of time.
-No protruding wires to poke your fingers.
-It occupies less space because it is collapsible
-Able to stand high heat. We always use it with pasta in boiling water.
Cons:
-Expensive

I am giving this five stars even though it fails to replace my mesh strainer because the holes are too large for washing quinoa. The color is so pretty and is richer bluer red than the tomato red in the picture. It is easy to clean and comfortable to handle. I really like it. I thought the price was high but I would buy this again if I had to.

This strainer has ended the "I don't want to attempt to wash that disgusting thing" argument in our house that we had with fine-mesh strainers.
It cleans easily, food doesn't get mashed into it (as happens with mesh ones) and best of all, no little wires to pop out and hurt you. The red color is also very pretty and cheerful (not a cheap-looking or faded color). It's so cute you really could hang it on the wall for convenience and decorative effect.
Since it's flexible, it also stores practically flat. Don't worry about high temperatures; I strained just-turned-the-flame-off chicken broth with this and it held up perfectly.
