I have this 4 quart colander by Amco and am extremely pleased with it in my kitchen. The large capacity is perfect for loads of linguine or anything else I need to drain or strain. The handles stay cool and the holed-pattern is an artistic leaf design.The base comes in handy. Sometimes I just have to leave the kitchen for a moment and know this is safely balanced in the sink. Stainlees steel is easy to clean and this is also dishwasher safe. I still give it a good rinse first in cold water to remove starchy build-up. As a mention, this colander is so attractive and attractively priced, I have bought more, filled them with colorful fresh fruits and candies, wrapped in bright hued plastic wrap and given them as gifts. Perfect for get-well hospital visits, house-warming parties, and holiday events. I have yet to hear a complaint!
