Best to slide off handle to wash so it dries properly, then slide on when dry, cleans excellently!

Bought this at a local store, and was surprised at how handy it has turned out to be in serving. The working end of this piece is shaped more or less like a triangle. It is soft, yet stiff enough to handle a piece of meat the size of a deck of cards, or a quarter of a potato; it is also wide enough to pick up half-length asparagus stalks.
I worried that the bamboo handle would stain. It hasn't. The bamboo handle is smoother than the wooden handle on Le Creuset's equivalent slotted spoon, and I find it easier to use this as a serving piece.
The silicone portion comes off and can be placed in the utensil section of your dishwasher, but it's so easy to wash that I just do it by hand. Silicone Zone makes a non-slotted version, too, and that's wonderful for scooping up sauces.
