Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
For the cheese aficionado, an ordinary paring knife or whimsical spreader simply won't do. These connoisseurs, and perhaps you are one, require a finer set of tools, tailored to the textures of their favorite cheeses. This handsome set includes: a pointed blade for breaking hard, aged cheeses and firm, crumbly blue cheeses; a narrow plane-shaped blade for semi-firm Cheddar and Jarlsberg as well as softer Brie or Camembert; and a wide blade for cutting crumbly soft cheese and making cubes of firm cheese.

Amazon.com Review
Properly cutting cheese requires specialized tools, as any partygoer confronted by a wheel of Stilton and a butter knife knows. This set cuts all cheeses with precision and without mess. The set's pointed knife will break up that Stilton into consumable pieces and accomplish the same with aged cheddars, Parmesans, and pecorinos--any hard, firm, or crumbly cheese. A narrow-bladed knife cleanly slices pieces from blocks of semisoft and semifirm cheeses such as Brie, Camembert, jack, and Jarlsberg. A wide-bladed knife works the same for soft, crumbly cheeses. The three knives run from 5-inches overall to 5-1/4-inches. With their light-finish handles and polished blades they kick a party's get-it quotient up more than a notch. --Fred Brack

2 out of 5 stars Wood Handle Split After Washing   April 6, 2008

Purchased, opened, used, washed....then the handle of the curved knife split in two pieces as it dried. The blade it self is great, very sharp and a handy size for me...too bad. Still using the other two.

This is my second purchase of these knives which I first saw in a Sonoma cheese shop. They are attractive, useful and durable. Similar knives with somewhat finer quality are available but at ten times the price.

4 out of 5 stars Color of wooden handle is lighter than expected   January 6, 2007

The knives arrived today and look great, but I am disappointed in the color of the handle. Amazon's picture makes it look like the wood was treated with a light stain, which would mave matched our cheese board perfectly. Unfortuately for me, the handle are a natural wood color - nice, but not what I wanted. I'm not sure if I will keep them or return them, but I just wanted other buyers to be aware of what they really look like.

All knives are not created equal. If you indulge in a variety of cheeses and are spending big bucks on the best quality, why not spend the money on the correct knife for cutting and serving your cheeses? Finely crafted enough for even an elegant cheese display.
