With aluminum cores enclosed by stainless-steel layers, Calphalon's Tri-Ply pots and pans deliver the best attributes of both metals. The aluminum cores conduct heat quickly and uniformly across the pots and pans' bottoms and all the way up their sides. The durable, 18/10 stainless-steel interiors and exteriors are easy to clean, resist scratching, denting, warping, and corrosion, and are nonreactive to acidic food. Some Tri-Ply items, like this 10-inch slope-sided pan, are coated inside with durable nonstick to readily release food. The pan is ideal for making omelets or for any sautéing or frying task, especially for delicate food like fish. Its handle stays cool on the stovetop and has a hanging hole, and the pan's rim is flared for dripless pouring. Tri-Ply cookware is polished to a mirror finish outside. If you are drawn to the beauty of stainless steel, yet are reluctant to sacrifice the cooking efficiency of aluminum, you can now have the very best of both worlds. A mirror polish stainless steel exterior, a heavy gauge conductive aluminum filling, and a stainless steel interior coated with a non-stick surface form a disc. The disk is then formed into a pan shape, with walls and bottom of equal thickness, which allows heat to be conducted evenly. Stay cool handles feature an ergonomic design and secure attachment. Every household needs a couple of omelette pans, and at least one should be non-stick.

I own many Calphalon pans and all are either the stainless tri-ply or the nonstick stainless like this. I have the 8", 10" and 12" pans. These pans are made of the highest quality. The outside has a brilliant polished stainless luster and the inside a very high quality non-stick surface. I can make anything in these and clean up is a breeze. Burn stuff on it and it will practically come clean with a paper towel! It takes a quick wash with a soft cloth and it is done. Food never sticks. I use these almost everyday and have had no problems, the non-stick is just like new still. I never use metal utensils, only wood, plastic, or ideally silicone. Also, don't put them in the dishwasher, they clean easy and you risk etching them with the harsh chemicals in dishwasher detergent. Also, even though it has a metal handle, it stays cool. It will start to get hot if you cook on very high heat or for an extended period of time, but in most cases it stays cool to the touch and I don't need to employ a hot pad. A great pan for reasonable money!!
