Deep and darling, this large Pistoulet bowl from Pfaltzgraff is the perfect vessel for fresh salads and fruity concoctions. Crafted from durable stoneware, the bowl features a hand-painted watercolor pattern inspired by the charmingly rustic art of Jana Kolpen. The sides are a soft rose, accented by pale orange and yellow bands and a green rim with deep blue polka dots. A band of cherries, oranges, and lemons adorns the lip. The bowl includes a playfully coordinated serving fork and spoon with satin-finish, stainless-steel working ends and rounded ceramic handles. Two side indentations in the bowl keep the servers in place between uses. All pieces are safe for the dishwasher and freezer, and the bowl can also go in the oven and microwave. This salad bowl is very spacious, matches beautifully with the other pieces in my collection and I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. I really love the matching handles on the tongs and would recommend it to everyone that has this Pistolet collection of Pfaltzgraff.

This is a sturdy, attractive salad bowl, but it is bigger than I expected. The salad for my family of 4 fills only about 1/4 - 1/3 of the bowl. This salad bowl is also great for tortilla chips for a party or for a pretty fresh fruit bowl setting on your counter. The servers are charming with colorful painted, pottery handles. I use the large serving spoon for casseroles and other dishes, too.

This serving bowl is gorgeous whether empty or full of your favorite salad. I was particularly surprised to find that the serving spoon and fork were included in the package. These feature beautiful handles that blend with many solid color dishes, so they will certainly be very handy as a set or used individually.
