Product Description Simply the gratest. This cheese grater features Cuisipro's patented razor-sharp rotary blade, an extra wide hopper, and an ergonomic handle and arm with rubber touchpoints that's comfortable to hold and convertible for left or right-handed use. Easily disassembles for cleaning. Model #746607. Lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Review This 18/10 stainless-steel cheese grater manually grates small amounts of hard cheese, chocolate, nuts, or vegetables. To grate, place your food in the top of the hopper, press down on the holder, and turn the crank. The grater blade deposits your ground food out of the bottom of the hopper. The crank moves in either direction, making this cheese grater useful for both righties and lefties. For easy cleaning, the drum removes by flipping open the catch on the hopper and both pieces of the grater can go right in the dishwasher. Additional drums with finer and coarser grating holes are available seperately for this tool. --Cristina Vaamonde

Grater April 21, 2008 D. A. Henderson (Chicago) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a robust, quality grater which I am sure will longer than the plastic one I am replacing.
Piece of junk February 22, 2008 S. Kehoe (Shamokin, PA, USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I gave this thing one star only because I had no choice if I wanted to review it. I would have given it minus 5 stars if it were possible to do so!!! This poorly made product fell apart within the first five minutes of use. While attempting to grate parmesan cheese, the grater barrel caved in and the handle fell off. To add insult to injury, Macy's only credits you for the price of the item so you get to pay the shipping charges for a defective product you had to return. Do NOT buy this piece of garbage!! A solid performer December 16, 2007 G. Woodruff (NJ United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received this grater as a gift at least a year ago after the plastic handle on the grater I previously owned, which came from a high-end kitchen store, snapped off. I have not had any trouble with this grater and am surprised by the negative comments it has received. My drum has held up, the handle is solid, and it grates cheese quickly and efficiently. My only complaint is that on a few occassions I have pinched my finger on the clasp that closes the basket. (It is very tight.) Keep in mind, however, that this is a small grater with small holes. It is for shredding cheese over your pasta or chocolate or nutmeg over your dessert. I do not recommend this grater for shredding large quantities of cheese or for soft cheeses; the basket is not very big and pressure on the top arm would simply mush soft cheeses through the small holes. If you need to grate a lot of cheese or soft cheese, a food processor is a better choice.
A great grater! November 15, 2007 Daniel A. Anderson 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The cheese grater works very well and seems like it should last a long time.
Functional Kitchen Gadget August 5, 2007 Jill Clardy (Redwood City, CA USA) I researched and acquired this cheese grater after slicing the skin off of my knuckles with my old grater. This one is much safer and easier to use whether you're grating a small amount of parmesan for a single serving or enough for a family-sized dish. Easy to assemble, easy to use and easy to clean; it meets all of my critera for a kitchen gadget that will stay in the front of the drawer for years to come.
