This item was ordered without reviewing the customer feed back, the other person was correct in that it IS a piece of junk, It broke for me also on the Very First use, it is cheap plastic, DO NOT buy it, If this kind of merchandise that amazon.com sells, I will look some other place for my purchases, I do not like to leave negative feedback about a product but this Really deserves it.

This item is worthless as an apple slicer, it is to small for the apples to pass through.it was a waste of money. It might work to slice potatos if they are very small. I don't know I bought it to slice apples and it doesn't work.

I don't usually write a bad review but I have to in this case.
This broke on the very first potato I put in it. I never did get a single french fry out of it. I then purchased the Progressive cutter which cost less from Amazon and it worked great.

The potato slicer was wonderful. The blades were extremely sharp and cut different size potatos with ease. This will be a mainstay in my kitchen.
