Displaying the latest in contemporary aesthetics, Corelle's Square Round line consists of square plates and bowls with rounded corners, delineated round centers, and subtly lifted rims. The Pretty Pink pattern presents a retro look with a white background decorated with one or two large, bold flowers in shades of pink. A thin green stylized stem makes a perfectly round swoop on each piece like a brushstroke of movement. Only the bowl stays unadorned except for a line of green on the rim. Graceful and fresh, the pattern brings cheer to year-round dining or can be brought out especially for spring and summer. Like all Corelle dinnerware, Pretty Pink is made of laminated layers of glass that produce incredible strength while being very lightweight, thin, and stackable. Moreover, because the enamel pigments are fired onto the dinnerware, the design won't fade or scratch off over time. They are feminine, practical, don't break because I am a clumsy and I have a 3yr old and not one has broken, chipped or smashed. I have had my set for 18 mths.
They feel really modern, the mugs are a bit everyday looking but my friends all love the set.
I bought 2 sets - so I have an 8 piece setting. i wish they had been this cheap when I bought mine.

These dishes are decorated enough to use for special dinners but also not too decorated and can, therefore, also be used for any general meal. The plates and bowls are not porcelain (only the mugs are) but the plates and bowls are virtually indestructable. The bolws are not decorated with any flowers at all though.

These dishes are great.
I am going for another set.
It is one way to get a square meal every day. :-)
I have owned corelle for the past 40 plus years and won't buy anything else.
I have had a set for the last 20 years and not one has broken.
I just got tired of looking at the same plates and the "pretty in pink" are just beautiful.
I am 77 yrs. old but I think young.
BTW, Amazon is the best to deal with.
