| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Review First introduced in 1982 with a series of limited edition figurine ornaments, Waterford Crystal's 12 Days of Christmas continues to be a highly prized holiday design. Luckily for enthusiasts, the joy continues as Waterford expands the collection to include full-lead crystal bells and champagne flutes that celebrate this famous holiday carol. Each "day" of the series presents a different Waterford pattern along with its symbol from the song. To begin, the first flute and bell showcase the Clare pattern and the famous partridge in a pear tree. On the flute, the bird is etched near the top of the bowl and appears again as a silver-plated charm, while on the bell the silver clapper is transformed into the partridge hung from a sparkling ruby jewel. The following "days" in the series continue the richly decorated theme, each with its own variation. Beginning in 2005, two days of flutes and bells will be released each year until all twelve verses of the classic carol are rendered. All pieces are elegantly packaged in a hinged red box with a keepsake product card. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the flawless clarity and shimmer of the crystal.
