Very Poor Quality April 21, 2008 M. Grempel (Parker, CO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is the 2nd Model of Toro Valves I've used (2 Sets of 8). This Model was even worse than the first Toro model that I used, the body of which froze and fractured over winter even though they had been properly installed, drained and blown out. I paid Toro's higher than their competitor's price because I wanted a quality, trouble-free product. (My water pressure is about 100 psi; much lower than the valve's rating.) Out of 8 valves of this model, 3 diaphragms and 2 solenoids failed during the first season. To make matters worse, Toro will not supply repair parts or kits like their competition does. I refuse to ever again purchase any Toro sprinkler system or other lawn/landscaping equipment or product. I am now using totally problem-free Rainbird valves.

Valve worked until it started to leak. I called Toro Cust. service and was told they do not sell replacement parts for this item. It has a screw off top with some gaskets in it which would take 5 minutes to replace if they sold them. Now I have to buy a new valve, uninstall the old one and install a new one.
Built To Handle Higher Pressures November 25, 2007 Steve Dietrich (Santa Ynez Valley and Santa Monica CA, United States)
I live in an area where the water pressure is over 100psi and I have long runs to the irrigation valves. The end result is a lot of pounding and frequent valve failures. These valves are tougher than most that are rated at 100 or 125psi and easy to service. Highly recommended.
