Amazon.com Product Description The ingenious Toro ratcheting pruner allows for easy cutting with the least amount of effort. It's ideal for cutting roses and dead branch material, because the strong aluminum die-cast body gives the pruner extra strength while the ergonomically shaped handles with TPR (thermo plastic rubber) inserts provide extra cushioning and a non-slip grip. The blade is made from high carbon steel and has a non-stick coating for top cutting performance and a long lasting cutting edge. It also has patented center oiler bolt technology for ease of maintenance of the tool, allowing for continuous lubrication during operation. This Ratcheting Pruner can cut up to 7/8-inches and has a lifetime warranty.

OK for light pruning October 7, 2008 john I found these pruners fine for light pruning and dead heading. They are mildly disappointing as some very small tasks take two or more clips to make the cut. Still they are lightweight and comfortable to use. Considering the price, I am satisfied with them.
a bargin that works unreal good July 18, 2008 georay (in) for the money it is well worth it,i told freinds and they bought also & was pleased thxs amazon
good product July 7, 2008 Royal B. Kellogg This is a good set of ratchet clippers, solidly built. Ratchet clippers are, in my opinion, better than the non-ratchet but more common type, because of the leverage action.
Excellent product.... May 9, 2008 Rebecca Terchanik 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been gardening for nearly twenty years. I am a serious gardener which means that I do a lot of heavy pruning, trimming, and shearing, also. Translation...I do not plant a few annuals in a pot and call myself a gardener. These pruners are the best that I've ever owned. They require nearly NO effort on my part in order to cut through some very thick branches, etc. I recommend it!!
TORO RATCHETING PRUNERS April 26, 2008 Robert L. Manasco (SC) I have had these several weeks and they are great. Smaller than I thought they would be but they cut fine. It takes much less effort to cut and trim your ornamental plants and bushes. These pruners will pinch you hand if you do not hold them right, but this was my fault. They cut surprizingly large stems. Certainly worth the price.
